The Executive Committee of Ambition Sverige wishes to announce that Katja Nyberg, in consultation with the Executive Committee, has decided to step down from her roles within the party with immediate effect. Katja is also stepping down from her place on the party’s parliamentary election list.
We are now focusing our attention forward, on our political work in the run-up to the September election.
Av hänsyn till Katja Nybergs personliga integritet kommer styrelsen inte att kommentera ärendet ytterligare.

Last week, charges were brought against Katja Nyberg, including accusations of drug abuse in connection with driving. Katja maintains that she has not taken drugs. The party board takes the situation seriously but can neither can nor will judge anyone until the legal process is complete. However, we want to ensure that our parliamentary candidates are drug-free and otherwise suitable for the role.
Therefore, the board, in consultation with Katja, has decided that she will undergo regular drug testing. The results will be carefully evaluated and will form the basis for further decisions.
The decision has been made to create clarity and trust, both internally within the party and towards voters, members, and partners.
