Now we are in the home straight of the election campaign and several people are asking what policies we want to pursue in Mark. We want to pursue a rural policy with the motto: It should be easy to live in Mark

Without village schools, the countryside dies.
Retain smaller school units even in rural areas. Residents in Torestorp, Öxabäck, Björketorp and Fotskäl should get value for their tax money.

Elderly care with health in focus
More exercise, nutritious food and community - not just medicines. More opportunities for meaningful employment.

Manage the municipal property portfolio
Pause property transactions aimed at densification and urban development, and manage the properties that the municipality already owns.

Prioritise the maintenance of water and sewerage pipes in urban areas
Stop hounding rural residents and private sewage systems.

No more wind power in Mark
Protect nature, living environment, and investigate the scaling up of hydropower.

Investigate property-close waste collection
Follow the Local Government Act and tailor emptying to needs.

Support for the village associations
In Mark Municipality, there are 17 active village associations making heroic efforts. We propose increased municipal village grants and that the village associations should be given a formal referral status in municipal decisions concerning their local area.

Rural entrepreneurship and construction
Make it easier to build and live outside detailed planning areas and have a more generous approach to waterfront construction by the municipality's many lakes.

Local business community
Simplify municipal procurement so that smaller, local tradespeople and farmers in the municipality can actually win the contracts.

We will now ensure that Ambition Sverige secures seats on the municipal council here in Mark, in the Västra Götaland Region and in the Riksdag in 2026.
