Olle Lack is originally from Gällivare. He has been a fighter pilot in the Air Force and flew Viggen in the reconnaissance and attack systems for 17 years.
After the military academy, he obtained the rank of Major and has served in many leadership positions in the Air Force. Olle has also trained officers from all branches of the Air Force, but especially fellow pilots throughout his career.
For four years in civil aviation, he flew the Fokker 50.
Olle then returned to the Air Force where he served as a pilot on the SAAB 340 AEW&C (Airborne Early Warning and Control) radar reconnaissance aircraft.
He also served as a pilot on government aircraft flying for the Cabinet Office, the Court and the Royal Family. He has also conducted flights under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs such as Open Skies missions in several European countries, including Russia and Ukraine. Olle participated in several NATO-led exercises (BALTOPS) where he gained good insight into how NATO operates.
