Torbjörn Sjödin

Torbjörn Sjödin is a civilian forester and lives on a family farm with 700 hectares of forest land in Jämtland. He has served as a reserve officer with the rank of captain in the air force's Stril unit. Over the years, Torbjörn has held leading positions in the forest sector both in Sweden and abroad. He is a co-founder of the certification body Forest Stewardship Council, FSC and a partner in a company for non-contact tracking of logs. Torbjörn is also co-founder of ”Motvind Sverige”, a non-profit organisation that demonstrates the negative impact of wind power on health, economy and ecology. The organisation has had successful cooperation with several other EU countries. He has also participated in several international aid projects for vulnerable indigenous people.
