Unni grew up in Lofoten and Telemark in Norway and has a long professional career in healthcare and care behind her. For 45 years, she has worked in areas including emergency care, primary care, and long-term care. She is a qualified nursing assistant and also has experience in medical foot care, general health, wellness, and training.
Her community involvement has led to several political and democratic appointments. Unni has been a member of the district council, church council, and the Regional Council in Region Stockholm, as well as a substitute on Stockholm City Council. She has also served as a substitute in the Swedish Parliament during 2024 and 2025, been an assize judge in both the district court and the administrative court of appeal, and held positions within ethical review and the Tenants' Association.
Unni is a clear and committed voice in public debate and has participated in interviews with, among others, Modiga Människor, Swebbtv and Frihetsnytt. She is particularly passionate about safe and accessible healthcare, better public health and stronger conditions for the elderly.
Locally produced food, physical activity, and strong local communities are also close to her heart. Cycling, running, ice bathing, and life in nature are important parts of her everyday life. Unni wants to be a strong advocate for people who are not always heard and fight for greater security, freedom, and the opportunity to influence their own daily lives.
