What is security worth when politicians are getting us used to mass graves?

Sweden is spending around 175 billion kronor on its military defence this year, but what is security really worth if politicians are simultaneously getting the Swedish people used to images of mass graves?

During the military exercise Aurora 2026, war grave services were practiced for the first time since the 1950s. The exercise included a temporary burial for five hundred fictional fallen soldiers and sailors in a field near Väddö church. Politicians and the Armed Forces call it an exercise and a demonstration of responsibility in crisis preparedness.

At the same time, the DCA agreement grants US forces access to 17 Swedish military bases and facilities. The establishment has traded our historical non-alignment for escalation and made Sweden a staging area for NATO – an alliance that pursues a policy of confrontation against Russia.

Ambition Sverige does not accept this development. We put the interests of the people and the nation first. We want peace, diplomacy and freedom from NATO forces and foreign troops on Swedish soil. The DCA agreement must be terminated and Sweden must leave NATO.

A strong national defence is something we build ourselves – not by becoming a pawn in the game of great powers. Security is not created by normalising mass graves and war preparations. Security is created through sovereignty, détente and a policy that puts Sweden first.
