Ulf Ström has a background in the merchant navy and business. After graduating as a sea captain from the Stockholm School of Navigation, he served at sea, mainly on transatlantic voyages between Europe and Latin America.
After complementary management studies, he then worked for many years in the business world. Among other things, as CEO and Nordic manager of ACI Worldwide (Nordic) AB (Nasdaq ACIW). At times he has also been associated with various multinational EU projects, including as a representative of Cable & Wireless in the management of the EU-funded BOLERO project, UK. A project that at the time developed an international platform and banking standard for electronic trading systems.
Since his retirement, he has mainly worked as a master on various expedition and passenger ships in the Arctic. He is currently also chair of the Swexit Coalition. Ulf is married and now lives in Stockholm.
